Hudson stands with Mrs. Becky AdamsEach year, hundreds of students try out for the Kentucky Music Educator's Association (KMEA) honor choirs, bands, and orchestras. There are choirs for every age including elementary (5th and 6th), junior High (7-9th), highschool (10-12) and collegiate. This year, TFCA's own Hudson Pittman (6th Grade) auditioned and was selected for the elementary students' Children's Chorus!

Music teacher Becky Adams said, "It is quite an honor to be selected. We have had students in at least one of the choirs for the last several years...Hudson was our only student selected this year, and I am super proud of her!"

Hudson says she's very excited about the opportunity to perform with a large choir, as this is her first experience singing with a chorus on stage.

Over 700 students auditioned this year, of which about 200 students were selected. They will have two days of rehearsal all together at the KMEA conference in February, followed by a concert at Whitney Hall at the Kentucky Center for the arts on Thursday, February 5th. Congratulations, Hudson! Your school is so proud of you!
