In a letter to TFCA parents today, the Board of Directors announced the appointment of Carrie Beth Tigges as TFCA's new Principal and Lisa Woodruff as the school's new Assistant Principal.
"As you know, we have been praying and seeking God’s will for the direction of our school. We feel that God is leading us to promote Mrs. Carrie Beth Tigges to be the next Principal for our school. Mrs. Tigges has served on staff for TFCA for five years in the capacity of Counselor and recently as Assistant Principal. Carrie Beth holds a BS in Biology/Chemistry from Georgetown College and a Master’s degree from Asbury Theological Seminary. Additionally, she has coached our Elementary and 6th grade Governor’s Cup Academic teams. Before joining our staff, she served as a parent volunteer, PTF representative and member of the Education Committee. She and her husband, Greg, are members of Hope Community Church where she is a member of the worship team and teachers in the children’s ministry. She has a desire to serve our families, students and staff as we move forward and walk in God’s vision and plan for TFCA. Please join us in praying for her as she assumes this new role and for the transition for her and her family. We are confident in her ability to lead and guide our school as we continue to grow!
In moving Mrs. Tigges into the Principal role, we obviously face a new opening in the role of the Assistant Principal. It is also with confidence and excitement that we announce that Mrs. Lisa Woodruff will be assuming this role for the upcoming school year. Lisa Woodruff has spent the last 12 years at TFCA as a Fourth and Fifth grade teacher. During these years, Mrs. Woodruff has coached the TFCA Cross Country Team, worked with the Elementary Academic Team and served on many curriculum development and leadership teams at the school. Prior to teaching at TFCA, she served as the Elementary Principal at Cornerstone Christian School in Shelbyville, KY. Mrs. Woodruff is a graduate of Pensacola Christian College and has attended Kentucky State University. In 2013, Mrs. Woodruff was the recipient of the Joseph Liebman Memorial Elementary Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Woodruff , her husband, Rick, and daughter, Eden, attend Buck Run Baptist Church where she serves on the Single Mom's Ministry Team.
Please join us in welcoming both Mrs. Tigges and Mrs. Woodruff to their new TFCA leadership roles. We are excited about the future of TFCA and ask that you pray together with us as we strive to further the mission that God has given us as a TFCA family.
